This Friday, February 15, 2019, the Lafayette Police Department will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint looking for impaired drivers and other traffic-related offenses.

The checkpoint will be held between 9 pm and 3 am somewhere within the incorporated limits of Lafayette.

"The purpose of the checkpoint is to target impaired drivers under the influence of alcohol or any other dangerous substance," LPD said.

If you intend to drink, please designate a driver. Officers working this checkpoint will respond with zero tolerance to drivers found under the influence.
