St. Charles Teacher Arrested On Molestation Charge
HAHNVILLE, La. (AP) — A teacher at Luling Middle School has been arrested on a warrant charging him with molestation of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
According to the warrant released by St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne's office, 41-year-old Troy Quinn was arrested Monday at his home in Ascension Parish.
The warrant alleges that Quinn had "inappropriate sexual contact with a 13-year-old female" earlier this year. Bond had not been set as of Monday afternoon and it was unclear whether Quinn had an attorney who could comment.
Regina McMillan, a spokeswoman for St. Charles Parish Public Schools, said an internal investigation was under way to determine Quinn's future status in the school system.
The arrest warrant was issued Friday. McMillan said parents were informed about the arrest Sunday night.
