St. Landry Council Requests Audit Of Menard Contracts

The St. Landry Parish Council wants an auditor to review all contracts approved by parish President Don Menard. The council argues that several of those contracts for professional services required approval from them. But Menard's administrative assistant says the parish's home rule charter gives Menard the authority to enter into such agreements. Discussion of the matter will continue during the council's December meeting.
