A 22-year-old Lafayette man has been arrested by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office on a charge of computer aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Captain Megan Vizena says,

"We are warning parents to keep an eye on their children's online activity, especially if kids become defensive. Our kids are vulnerable and they are spending a lot of time in the same place as sexual predators-the internet. Statistics show that 78 percent of kids ages 12 to 17 have a cell phone, with half of those devices being a smart phone that can access the internet. It starts with a simple conversation on the computer but can turn into something much more dangerous. If you think something is going on, always trust your parental intuition and look further."

Vizena says due to the nature of the case they will not release any further information on the case.

Thibodeaux was bonded out of the St. Landry Parish Jail with a $15,000 bond.
