Around 5:40 Monday afternoon, members of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Search and Rescue team recovered the body of a 28-year-old woman.

Major Eddie Thibodeaux says the cause of Kimberly Perkins Clark's death is not known at this time.

The St. Landry Parish woman, most recently living in Livonia, was found stuck in a drift pile inside of a canal in the Palmetto area.

Thibodeaux says the canal was right near the Veazie and Rosco Baham Road area.

Anyone with any information about the death of Clark is asked to call St. Landry Crime Stoppers at 337-948-TIPS or the Detective Section of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office at 337-948-6516.

All callers to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous, and you can get up to $1,000 for your tip.
