Bruce Johnson , 37, 3129 South Barbier Street, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on December 28, 2016 at 7:44 pm for possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. The K-9 Unit observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, K-9 Buddy indicated an odor response that illegal drugs were inside the car. The detective searched the vehicle and located a digital scale near a passenger who was identified as Johnson. While speaking with him, the deputy learned that the scale belonged to Johnson and that he had methamphetamine on his person. Johnson retrieved 2 bags of methamphetamine from his pants and handed the drugs over to the detective. Johnson was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Charlotte T. Bracamontes, 28, 315 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 28, 2016 at 2:06 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of clonazepam, possession of Schedule I drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle with a suspended driver's license. A deputy located Bracamontes at her residence on the warrant and transported her to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Brian K. Lemon, 35, 210 Batiste Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on December 28, 2016 at 7:21 pm for the following offenses:
Warrant for hit and run driving and driving with a suspended license
Warrant for hit and run driving and driving with a suspended license
Warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation
Baldwin warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
Baldwin warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery
A deputy developed information that a subject wanted on multiple active warrants was on John Street in Baldwin. The deputy located Lemon and transported him to the parish jail. The warrants for hit and run driving were the result of an investigation into 2 vehicle crashes. The deputy found evidence that Lemon struck another vehicle on Chitimacha Trail in Baldwin, drove away from the scene, lost control of the vehicle, and crashed the SUV a second time into a ditch on Mary Garrett Road. Lemon then fled that crash site on foot. No bail is set.

Alvin Wilson, Jr., 49, 103 Lancelin Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on December 29, 2016 at 9:31 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of illegal carrying of weapons and on a warrant for probation violation. A deputy located Wilson at a residence on Orphan Home Road on the warrants and transported him to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $6,500.

Henry R. Canales-Cruz, 24, 817 Highway 182, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 29, 2016 at 1:03 am for domestic abuse battery (child endangerment). A deputy responded to report of domestic abuse at a residence in the Patterson area. The deputy collected evidence that Canales-Cruz grabbed a female victim and struck her in the face causing bruises on her neck and cheek. The battery occurred in the presence of a small child. Canales-Cruz was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $3,500.

Sharice J. Richard, 22, 200 Martin Luther King Drive, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on December 29, 2016 at 3:46 am for stopping, standing, or parking outside of business or residence districts as well as no driver's license on person and no motor vehicle insurance. A deputy patrolling Baldwin observed a vehicle parked in the middle of John Street with no lights on. The deputy made contact with the driver and identified her as Richard. While speaking with her, the deputy found that she was operating the vehicle without insurance and without her driver's license. Richard was released on a summons to appear in court on March 8, 2017.
