Dean Beranek, 117 Burchfield Lane, Berwick, LA was arrested on January 23, 2017 at 12:11 pm on a bond surrender. Beranek turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Beranek was released on a $30,000 property bond.

Jennifer Beecher, 32, 190 Beadle Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on January 23, 2017 at 12:16 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. A deputy located Beecher at her residence on the warrant and transported her to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.

Durell D. Alexander, 38, 515 St. Peter Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 23, 2017 at 2:44 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of failure to obey traffic control signal and operating a vehicle while license suspended. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrant for Alexander. Bail is set at $5,500.

Blair Irvin, Jr., 33, 13878 S. Spruce Street, Vacherie, LA was arrested on January 23, 2017 at 3:32 pm for possession of Schedule IV (clonazepam) with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule IV (Xanax) with intent to distribute, and possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine). Deputies responded to a medical emergency call at a business on Highway 90 in the Patterson area. When they arrived, they found a sweating, drooling male subject who appeared to be asleep in a chair. The deputy woke up the subject and identified him as Irvin. The deputy observed that Irvin continued to sweat profusely, refused to remove is hands from his pockets, and was unable to answer questions about his present condition. While speaking with Irvin, the deputy requested that he empty his pockets. Irvin produced a small prescription pill bottle without a prescription label on it. Inside, the deputy located 23 clonazepam pills, 9 Xanax pills, and a small plastic bag containing methamphetamine. Acadian Ambulance arrived on scene, rendered a medical assessment, and released Irvin. Irvin was then transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

Byron Wesley, 19, 278 Easy Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 23, 2017 at 3:31 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana, flight from an officer, reckless operation of a vehicle, improper turning, and operating a vehicle not covered by security. A deputy located Wesley at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse on the warrant and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Wesley was released on a $5,000 bond.

Bryce Treadway, 23, 238 Firetower Road, Jonesboro, LA was arrested on January 23, 2017 at 9:04 pm for no tail lights and no motor vehicle insurance. A deputy observed a vehicle with no tail lights traveling on Highway 90 in the Patterson area and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy spoke with the driver, identified as Treadway. At the time of the traffic stop, Treadway was unable to produce proof of insurance. Treadway was released on a summons to appear in court on April 5, 2017.

Traochie Gibson, 26, 2155 LA Highway 83, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 23, 2017 at 9:33 pm for license plate lights required and driving with a suspended license. A deputy patrolling Baldwin, observed a vehicle with no license plate lights on Martin Luther King Road. The deputy stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Gibson. The deputy found that Gibson was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Gibson was released on a summons to appear in court on April 5, 2017.

Shaquille Conner, 25, 206 Willow Wood Drive, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 24, 2017 at 1:31 am for head lights required, possession of Schedule I (marijuana), and on a warrant from the City Court of Franklin for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. A deputy patrolling the Franklin area observed a vehicle with only 1 functioning headlight on Irish Bend Road and conducted a traffic stop on Gumpoint Lane. The deputy spoke with the driver, Conner, and smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. The deputy received consent to search the car and located 2 plastic bags containing marijuana. Conner was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $3,013.

Michael Mckinnon, 24, 148 Mars Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 23, 2017 at 7:19 pm for license plate lights required and possession of Schedule I (marijuana).

Emilie K. Businelle, 23, 600 Superior Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 23, 2017 at 7:19 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Narcotics detectives patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle with no license plate lights and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the driver, Mckinnon, and passenger, Businelle, they smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and observed a pack of rolling papers in Businelle’s purse. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a bag of marijuana and a piece of a burnt marijuana cigarette. Following the investigation, both Mckinnon and Businelle were released on summonses to appear in court on April 5, 2017.
