St. Martin Evacuation Lifted

While the water is still rising in some areas, authorities in St. Martin Parish lifted a mandatory evacuation for portions of the Butte LaRoae-Happy Town area to a voluntary evacuation at 8:00 this morning. Low lying areas of the Atchafalaya River Highway levee are still rising, though at a slower than expected rate.
