St. Martin Parish Authorities Investigating Dead Body Found In Atchafalaya River

A body found floating in the Atchafalaya River. Major Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says the body was found by a tug boat operator early this morning. The Sheriff's Office and Wildlife and Fisheries pulled out the body just before noon today. His identity has not yet been determined and officials are waiting for the results of an autopsy.
