St. Martin Parish Correctional Officer Accused Of Malfeasance & Drug Charges

22-year-old Marshall Babineaux Jr. of Breaux Bridge has been arrested after contraband was found inside the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.

Major Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Department says Babineaux has been booked on charges of Malfeasance in Office, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Introduction of Contraband in a Penal Institution.

Babineaux's been with the Sheriff's Office since August of 2013. No bond has been set yet as he sits in the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
