St. Martin Parish Police Search For Escaped Inmates

The search is on for two inmates who turned up missing in St. Martin Parish. 

Major Ginny Higgins says authorities noticed the pair were missing from the Breaux Bridge substation early this morning after a routine head count. Missing are Robert Lee Chatman III and Andre L. Gilbert.

Chatman is a black male, 6’5″, 230 pounds, brown eyes, black hair, with a scar on his left wrist.

Gilbert is a black male, 5’11″, 158 pounds, brown eyes, black hair, with a scar on his left arm, and a tattoo that says RSC on his left arm.

Police believe they may be with Chatman’s girlfriend, Amanda Champagne.

Champagne is a white female, 5'0",  brown hair, and brown eyes.

She drives a silver 2002 Chevy Malibu with license plate number V-H-L-9-3-8.

These men may be armed, so if you see them or know where they are, call 9-1-1.
