St. Martin Parish Residents Warned Of Phone Scam

A man with a foreign accent has been calling residents of St. Martin Parish posing as a deputy sheriff and asking for personal information about a family member. Public Information Officer for the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Major Ginny Higgins says these calls are not being made by a deputy. She warns to be extremely cautious and suspicious of anyone calling and asking for money, credit card information, date of birth, social security number or any other personal information.
