Major Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says 18-year-old Jacques Fontenot is back with his family safe and sound.

Major Higgins says Fontenot went missing over the Easter weekend. Higgins says Fontenot told his mother that someone was picking him up from her Breaux Bridge-area home and would take him to his father's home in Ville Platte. But Fontenot wasn't seen since and the mother wasn't sure who the person picking him up was.

According to our news partners at KATC, family members say Fontenot has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old and has many medical issues, requiring the use of a feeding tube.
