St. Martin Sheriff’s Office Investigating Dollar General Armed Robbery

ST. MARTINVILLE, La. (KPEL) -- Police in St. Martin Parish are investigating the armed robbery of a Dollar General Store on Spanish Trail.

According to Maj. Ginny Higgins with the sheriff's office, the robbery happened Sunday night at about 7:30 p.m.

Higgins said the suspect is described as a black male about 5-foot-7. He was wearing a gray LSU hoodie with gold LSU Tiger lettering over baggy blue coveralls. He was also wearing black ski mask and white gloves, and he was armed with handgun, Higgins said.

The suspect fled the store on foot, Higgins said.
