St. Martinville Inmate Caught After Short Escape

23-year-old Delanius Narcisse's escape from work detail Tuesday morning didn't last too long.

Major Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says the St. Martinville man walked away off of Washington Street in St. Martinville around 11:00 a.m. Narcisse was caught a short time later in a house on Governor Mouton in St. Martinville.

Narcisse was originally serving an 8-year sentence on a 2010 simple burglary charge. Now, he faces additional charges in connection with this incident.
