St. Martinville Man Being Sought For Outstanding Warrant

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office is trying to track down a man wanted for failure to appear on a couple of charges.

St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Ginny Higgins says police are searching for 25-year-old Rusty Ronnie Jean-Lewis of West Bridge Street in St. Martinville.

Jean-Lewis is wanted on charges of attempted simple burglary and simple criminal damage to property valued between $500 and $50,000.  Higgins says Jean-Lewis is alleged to have tried to break into an ATM machine with a screwdriver.

They are still looking for Jean-Lewis ever since he failed to show up for court in May.
