St. Martinville Woman Arrested For Stealing Gun

Investigators in St. Martin Parish have arrested a St. Martinville woman for allegedly stealing a firearm from a home on Jack Dwyer Road.

Investigators say 36-year-old Shantell Melancon was arrested and charged with theft along with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

She was taken into custody at a home in Breaux Bridge and then booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
