St. Martinville Man Dies From Weekend Crash

25-year-old Kelly Theriot has passed away from injuries sustained in a crash over the weekend.

Corporal Paul Mouton with Lafayette Police says it happened early Saturday morning around 2:45 a.m. on Interstate 10. Mouton says a white Ford F-350 was traveling east on I-10, when for unknown reasons a Chevrolet Colorado driven by Theriot hit the vehicle from behind.

The other driver is in the hospital in critical condition. The crash remains under investigation.
