St. Mary Drug Task Force Makes Another Arrest

The St. Mary Parish Drug Task Force is made up of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, the Morgan City Police Department, the Frankling Police Department, the Baldwin Police Department, Berwick Police and the Chitimacha Police Department. 

The group made another arrest this time a man from Baldwin was taken into custody. Narcotics Task Force agents says they saw Barry Burney's car parked on the roadway, but facing in the wrong direction. When police decided to conduct a traffic stop, they say they found several bas of marijuana between the driver's seat and the door.

Burney was placed under arrested, then booked into the St. Mary Parish jail on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
