St. Mary Levee Protection Details Increasing

The St. Mary Levee District has received a number of calls with regards to vehicles riding on top and on the flood side of the levee. As pre-hurricane season nears the Levee District reminds you that all levee roads, crowns, slopes and bases are private property. Trespassing by riding on these areas are subject to criminal penalties as levee damage may occur. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office will be increasing patrols to protect the levee in the parish.
