The following is a list of the people arrested in St. Mary Parish in the last 24 hours:

Angela Dore, 40, 6706 Bull Island Road #2, New Iberia, LA was arrested on June 2, 2015 at 5:41 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. Dore turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. She was released on a summons to appear in court on September 16, 2015.

Adrian Hixon, 32, 774 Parish Road 131, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 3, 2015 at 12:52 pm for resisting an officer (by giving false information), driving under suspension, and on a warrant for operating a vehicle not covered by security and following too close. A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on Highway 90 in the Calumet area and made contact with a male subject. While speaking with the subject, the deputy learned that he gave false information regarding his identity. The deputy also learned that the subject, identified as Hixon, was driving under suspension and had an active warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Hixon to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Ashton Allen, 23, 477 Ehrlich Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on June 2, 2015 at 7:51 pm for resisting an officer, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of Schedule III (Subutex). Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division working with detectives with the Morgan City Police Department were patrolling the area of Federal Avenue near Marshall Street in Morgan City when they observed Allen riding a bicycle in the roadway. When Allen saw detectives, he began exhibiting behavior consistent with illegal drug activity including acting nervous, grabbing his pants pocket, and refusing to make eye contact with detectives. When detectives attempted to speak with Allen, he fled on the bike. While fleeing from detectives, the bike malfunctioned causing him to fall to the ground. Allen was detained pending further investigation. Allen consented to a search of his person and detectives located a small bag containing crystal methamphetamine, a cellophane bag containing a Subutex pill and a small bag containing a white powdery residue. Allen was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
