St. Mary Parish Deputies Issue Summons For Pit Bull Ordinance Violation

St. Mary Parish Deputies say they have arrested a Franklin man on two warrants for violation of parish ordinances regarding the leash law and pit bull regulations.

Deputies say a complaint came in February after a driver reported their unleashed dog jumped out of their car door window and then was attacked by two pit bulls that were not leashed either.

The man who was driving stopped his car to try to get his dog away from the pit bulls, and the man was bitten.

While investigating the incident a deputy saw three unrestrained pit bulls at the home of Luan Vu.

Vu was released on a summons to appear in court in June.
