The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office is hoping that the public can help them track down two "persons of interest" who may be able to help them solve an early morning shooting today.

Detectives say a man outside of lounge on Highway 182 in Amelia was approached by three black males who attempted to rob him.  During the robbery attempt, the victim was shot.  He remains in fair condition.

Investigators say they believe the two men of interest may have information regarding the crime.

One is described as a black male with a medium build, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall between the ages of 23 and 25.  He is described as having a dark complexion and black hair styled with short twists.  He goes by the nickname of "Diddy".

The second person of interest is described as a black male with a medium build, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and suspect to be either 19 or 20.  He goes by the nickname of "Jay".
