St. Mary Parish Driver Arrested For Several Drug Charges

A St. Mary Parish detective with the Narcotics Division was patrolling the Morgan City area when he received a call about a reckless driver on highway 90.

The deputy pulled over 20-year-old Mitchel Louis Bourg of Houma, and he received permission to search Bourg's car after he saw drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

The detective says says after searching the vehcile he found synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Bourge was arrested on charges of

Possession of synthetic cannabinoids
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Abuse of toxic vapors

Bourg was taken to the St. Mary Parish jail, and his bond was set at $4,500.
