St. Mary Parish Man Arrested After His Car Collided With A Train

Around 9 o'clock yesterday morning, St. Marys Parish Sheriff's deputies were called out to a crash between a car and a train on the Burlington Northern Sante Fe rail road near mile maker 94.

Deputies say they then spotted 41-year-old Lionel G. Jones of Waggaman walking along highway 90.  Deputy says Jones told him he was involved in the crash.

The deputy says he then found Jones in possession of a Schedule III drug, and he was taken to the parish jail for booking.
