St. Mary Parish Man Arrested For Domestic Battery

A St. Mary Parish Sheriff's deputy was called out to a domestic abuse call Thursday evening.

The deputy was called to a home on Verdun Lane in Verdunville.

While investigating, the deputy learned that 26-year-old Joshua Navy was accused by his wife of trying to strangle her.  The two were involved in an argument when she alleges he grabbed her by the throat.

The domestic disturbance happened in front of four juveniles who were in the room with the woman.

Navy was taken to the St. Mary Parish jail for booking and incarceration.
