13 arrests were made by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office over the 72-hour reporting period last weekend. Deputies say they investigated 107 complaints.

Herman Wagner, Jr., 72, 607 Cypremort Road, Cypremort Point, LA was arrested on January 29, 2016 at 11:10 am for the following offenses:

Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, careless operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to honor written promise to appear

Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, height of vehicle, and failure to honor written promise to appear

A deputy located Wagner at his residence on the warrants and released him on a summons to appear on court on March 30, 2016.

Brandi Hebert, 35, 108 West Side Park Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on January 29, 2016 at 11:08 am on a warrant for simple battery. A deputy collected statements and other evidence indicating that Hebert struck a female victim in the face during an argument at a bar. A deputy located Hebert at her residence on the warrant. Hebert was released on a summons to appear in court on March 30, 2016.

Edward C. Francois, 33, 919 ½ Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 29, 2016 at 11:54 am on two Houma City Court warrants for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with an expired driver’s license and improper left turn at intersection. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrants for Francois’ arrest. No bail is set.

Jolene R. Guillory, 40, 2815 Third Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on January 29, 2016 at 9:54 pm on a Patterson police Department warrant for aggravated 2nd degree battery (with medical attention) and simple battery. A dispatcher received information regarding the location of a subject wanted on the active warrant. A deputy was dispatched to the address of a bar on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista and located Guillory on the warrant. Guillory was transported to the parish jail for booking and was released after posting $3,000 bond.

Alfred Turner, 30, 100 Chateau Court, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 29, 2016 at 10:28 pm for no license plate light and driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 182 without a license plate light and with only one operational headlight. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Turner. While speaking with Turner, the deputy discovered that he was driving the vehicle with a suspended license. Turner was released on a summons to appear in court on March 30, 2016.

Kirk P. Chaisson, 56, 417 Southwest Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 30, 2016 at 8:49 am for possession of Schedule II drugs and possession of Schedule IV drugs. A deputy assisted a Berwick Police officer with the traffic stop investigation of a reported reckless driver. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Chaisson, and received consent to search the vehicle. The deputy located a prescription pill bottle containing two types of pills that were not listed on the prescription, oxycodone and alprazolam. Chaisson was transported to the parish jail for booking. Chaisson was later released on a $2,500 bond.

Tommy McNally, 45, 1309 Middle Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 30, 2016 at 3:22 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery (strangulation). On Saturday, January 30, 2016, a deputy investigating a report of domestic violence collected evidence that McNally grabbed a female victim by the throat and choked her while at a residence in Bayou Vista. A warrant for McNally’s arrest was issued. The deputy located McNally at his residence and transported him to the parish jail. No bail is set.

Jerrence Ford, Sr., 27, 107 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on January 30, 2016 at 8:05 pm for resisting an officer by force. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a business in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy found a male and female subject arguing. Both subjects were detained pending further investigation. While speaking with the subjects, the man repeatedly refused to give his name and began to pull away from a deputy. The male subject was identified as Ford. Following the investigation into the complaint, Ford was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Rowen B. Marks, 35, 109 Rose Lane, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 30, 2016 at 8:32 pm for driving while intoxicated and open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. A deputy responded to a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver on Highway 90 in the Jeanerette area. The deputy made contact with the complainant in the parking lot of a business just off the highway and located the vehicle that had reportedly been driving recklessly. According to the complainant, the driver passed a turn off of the highway, stopped the vehicle in the roadway, and then backed up to make the turn. The deputy observed that the male driver of the suspect vehicle appeared to be asleep at the wheel and made several attempts to wake him. The driver did not respond. As the deputy opened the vehicle to check on the well being of the subject, an empty bottle of alcohol fell to the ground. The deputy again attempted to wake the subject who at that time did respond. The deputy identified the subject as Marks and smelled the pungent odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. The deputy also observed an open bottle of beer inside the vehicle. Upon being instructed to exit the car, Marks got out and began stumbling, nearly falling to the ground. The deputy assisted Marks in regaining his balance and helped him to lean against the vehicle for support. After speaking with Marks, the deputy transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Eugene L. Green, V, 36, 77 ½ Lee Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 30, 2016 at 8:41 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery and criminal damage to property. A deputy responded to a report of domestic violence that occurred at a residence in Centerville. During the course of the investigation, the deputy collected evidence that Green pushed a female victim to the floor, grabbed her by her hair, and slammed her against a wall causing damage to a picture. A warrant was issued for Green’s arrest. A deputy located Green at his residence and transported him to the parish jail. No bail is set.

Tarell R. Boulanger, 24, 1412 Hickory Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 31, 2016 at 1:13 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, flight from an officer, and resisting an officer. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center a corrections officer located the active warrants for Boulanger’s arrest. No bail is set.

Leslie J. Matthews, 40, 178 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on January 31, 2016 at 4:58 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of altering a prescription for a controlled dangerous substance. A deputy received information regarding the whereabouts of a subject who held active warrants. The deputy located Matthews at a medical facility in Morgan City and transported her to the parish jail for booking.

Gregory Payne, 40, 1900 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 31, 2016 at 9:40 pm for domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, a deputy collected information indicating that Payne slammed a door into a female victim causing the door to strike the victim’s knee. Payne was also screaming during the incident causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. The deputy transported Payne to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Herman J. Butler, 28, Berwick, LA was additionally charged on January 28, 2016 at 4:51 pm on warrants for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a CDS in the presence of a juvenile, violation of a CDS law (drug free zone), and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The warrant is the result of an investigation that began on January 20, 2016 at Butler’s residence. Narcotics detectives located a firearm and a bag of crack cocaine belonging to Butler. Detectives also develop additional evidence that showed that Butler had possession of these items prior to his arrest on January 6, 2016. Butler was already incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.
