John McGraw , 31, 2128 Louisiana Avenue, New Orleans, LA was arrested on April 28, 2016 at 4:27 pm for no insurance and failure to yield. A deputy investigating a vehicle crash on Duhon Boulevard in Amelia gathered evidence that McGraw failed to yield as he pulled out of a private drive. The deputy also found that he was operating the vehicle without insurance. McGraw was released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016.

Nicholas Case , 21, 1812 E. Garner Drive, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 29, 2016 at 1:59 am for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tiara Washington , 21, 4502 Labelle Boulevard, New Iberia, LA was arrested on April 29, 2016 at 1:59 am for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dontrell Brown , 22, 1303 Joseph Street, Siracusa, LA was arrested on April 29, 2016 at 1:59 am for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on Joseph Street that was parked at a vacant residence. As the deputy approached the truck a male subject, identified as Brown, exited the vehicle. The deputy observed a cloud of smoke emanating from the vehicle and smelled the strong odor of burning marijuana. The deputy then located a female subject, identified as Washington, inside the truck. The deputy also made contact with another male subject, identified as Case, who approached the deputy during the investigation. The deputy also observed a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle along with a grinder and located a marijuana cigar, commonly referred to as a blunt, in Brown’s shoe. Brown and Washington were released on summonses to appear in court on July 25, 2016. Case was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a $3,000 personal surety bond.

Austin Thomassie , 18, 193 Riverview Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 28, 2016 at 6:12 pm for illegal possession of stolen things.

Cameron Jackson , 17, 131 Sun Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 28, 2016 at 11:05 pm for 2 counts of theft.

On April 26, 2016, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of the theft of a dirt bike and four wheeler from the Patterson/Ricohoc area. A Narcotics Division detective traveling on Highway 90 observed a subject riding a dirt bike matching the description of the vehicle that was reported stolen and stopped the subject. The detective identified him as Thomassie. Thomassie was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set. Later that evening, a Criminal Investigation Division detective was notified that a subject wanted to turn himself in for committing a theft. The detective made contact with Jackson at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. During a conversation with the detective, Jackson admitted to taking the two vehicles. Jackson was transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.
