13 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report, which covers the last 72-hour reporting weekend. Deputies investigated 113 complaints.

Caroline Jackson , 63, 414 Seventh Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 20, 2016 at 2:25 pm for no insurance. A deputy investigating a 2 vehicle crash on Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway in Charenton found that one of the driver’s, Jackson, was operating a vehicle without insurance. Jackson was released on a summons to appear in court on August 29, 2016.

Julie A. Menard , 28, 387 Belair Love Road, Ville Platte, LA was arrested on May 20, 2016 at 12:48 pm on a warrant for attempted second degree murder, principal to aggravated kidnapping, and obstruction of justice. A correctional officer transported Menard from the Ville Platte Police Department to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Menard was released on a $10,000 recognizance bond. Jose Melendez , 31, 155 Village Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on May 20, 2016 at 10:48 pm for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, speeding, no driver’s license, possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles. A deputy traveling on Highway 182 on the Greenwood overpass observed a vehicle moving at 66 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour zone. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Melendez. While speaking with Melendez, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. Melendez performed poorly on a field sobriety test and later registered a 0.136g% on a breath test. The deputy transported Melendez to the parish jail for booking. Melendez was released on a $2,500 bond.

Travis Levine , 45, 191 Eves Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on May 20, 2016 at 11:08 pm for violating the parish ordinance regarding nuisance animals. A deputy responded to a noise complaint of a dog barking at a residence on Eves Street. The deputy made contact with the dog’s owner, Levine, who had been previously warned by deputies about the noise. Levine was released on a summons to appear in court on August 29, 2016.

Jacques Larroque, Jr. , 21, 217 Lewis Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on May 20, 2016 at 11:27 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy responded to a traffic incident at Cypremort Point State Park and made contact with Larroque. While speaking with Larroque, the deputy smelled the strong odor of marijuana emanating from Larroque’s vehicle. During the subsequent investigation, the deputy located marijuana and a metal cigarette shaped pipe containing burnt marijuana residue inside the vehicle. Larroque was released on a summons to appear in court on August 29, 2016.

Barrett Theriot , 37, 280 Cane Road, Centerville, LA was arrested on May 21, 2016 at 1:01 am for the following offenses:
- Domestic abuse battery
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of Schedule II (Adderall)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia

Tasha Soprano , 36, 280 Cane Road, Centerville, LA was arrested on May 21, 2016 at 1:01 am for domestic abuse battery and criminal damage to property.

A deputy responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Centerville. During the course of the investigation, the deputy found evidence that Soprano damaged a door at the residence during an argument with Theriot that escalated into a physical encounter. The deputy also located marijuana, an Adderall pill, and items of drug paraphernalia belonging to Theriot inside the residence. During the argument, Theriot and Soprano engaged in a physical altercation that resulted in minor injuries to both subjects. Theriot and Soprano were transported to the parish jail for booking. Soprano was transported to another facility for housing. Theriot was released on a $7,500 bond.

Tyler Scully , 23, 504 Joey Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm for no insurance and expired vehicle registration. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle with a large crack in the windshield and conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 90. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Scully and found that he was operating the vehicle without insurance and expired registration. Scully was released on a summons to appear in court on August 29, 2016.

Gregory Williams , 57, 518 Prairie Road North, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 21, 2016 at 3:43 pm for resisting an officer. A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious person at a business on Highway 182 in Centerville. The deputy made contact with Williams who told the deputy that he was arguing with patrons at the location. While detaining Williams, he attempted to pull away from the deputy. Williams was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $1,000.

Sarah Webb , 30, 4601 Village Lane, Baytown, TX was arrested on May 21, 2016 at 6:48 pm on the following warrants:
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of principal to theft, child desertion, and improper child restraint
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of forgery
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks
During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center a correctional officer located the active warrants for Webb’s arrest. No bail is set.

Donald Wages , 58, 7212 US Highway 90, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 21, 2016 at 9:40 pm for stop sign violation and possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a driver fail to stop at a stop sign on Southeast Boulevard and Middle Road and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Wages. During the traffic stop investigation, the deputy located the Legend Drug hydroxyzine pamoate inside the vehicle. Wages was unable to provide a prescription for the drug. Wages was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was released on a $1,750 bond.

Elder Portillo-Vijil , 29, 1401 B Barrow Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on May 22, 2016 at 3:20 am for disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and resisting an officer. A deputy responded to a report of a fight at a residence on Village Lane in Amelia. While investigating the complaint, Portillo-Vijil got into a vehicle and attempted to drive away from the area. As the deputy detained Portillo-Vijil, he pulled away from the deputy. The deputy also smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Portillo-Vijil’s person. Portillo-Vijil was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was released on a $2,000 bond.

Charles Adams, Jr. , 64, 1291 Prairie Road Circle, Verdunville, LA was arrested on May 22, 2016 at 9 :35 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession marijuana with intent to distribute
- Cultivation of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of a firearm in presence of a controlled dangerous substance
- Transactions involving drug proceeds
Deputies conducting a follow up investigation at a residence detected the strong odor of marijuana. Deputies received consent to search a bedroom belonging to Adams. Adams admitted to deputies that he had marijuana in the room. Deputies located multiple containers of marijuana and a handgun along with several items of drug paraphernalia, including a scale, pipes, small plastic bags, and rolling papers. Deputies also found $800 in cash (US currency) suspected of being derived from illegal drug sales. Deputies received consent to search the shed where deputies initially made contact with Adams and located a large marijuana grow. Among the components of the operation were 53 live plants, lights, fans, and drying racks. Deputies also located loose marijuana and marijuana plant clippings in another room in the shed. Adams was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
