Leroy Byers , 33, 2416 Apple Street Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 31, 2016 at 9:31 pm for possession of marijuana. Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division were traveling on Hwy 90 in the Morgan City area when they conducted a stop on a vehicle for traffic violations. During the stop, detectives made contact with a passenger, identified as Byers. While speaking with Byers, detectives received consent to consent to search his person and located a bag of marijuana concealed in his pants. Byers was released on a summons to appear in court on August 29, 2016.

Allegra M. Ackerman , 35, 736 Parish Road 131, Centerville, LA was arrested on May 31, 2016 at 10:58 am for violation of the parish leash law. A deputy responded to an animal complaint. During the investigation, the deputy found evidence that two of Ackerman’s dogs were running loose in a neighbor’s yard. The deputy conducted a records check and found that deputies responded to 6 complaints regarding Ackerman’s animals dating back to April including a prior arrest for leash law violation. Ackerman was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $250.

Michael Johnson , 51, 116 Choctaw Street, Charenton, LA was arrested on May 31, 2016 at 12:47 pm for reckless operation and failure to report an accident. A deputy was dispatched to a report of a crash at the Charenton Boat launch. The deputy determined that a pick-up truck, driven by Johnson, went off the roadway and struck a tree. With the assistance of Chitimacha Police, the deputy made contact with Johnson. While speaking with Johnson, the deputy found evidence that he was operating the vehicle in a reckless manner when the crash occurred and that Johnson did not report the crash. Johnson was released on a summons to appear in court on August 29, 2016.

Tommy Carson , 45, 519 Martin Luther King Drive, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 31, 2016 at 2:34 pm for failure to appear on the charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, violation of a uniform controlled dangerous substance law in a drug free zone, and resisting an officer by flight. A correctional officer transported Carson from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

Keithlin Antoine , 21, 700 Adams Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 31, 2016 at 2:35 pm on the following warrants:
- Warrant for failure to register as a sex offender
- Warrant for failure to notify law enforcement of a change of address as a sex offender
- Warrant for failure to obtain a special ID card as a sex offender
- Warrant for failure to pay annual registration fee as a sex offender and failure to pay community notifications as a sex offender
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile
In June of 2015, Antoine was convicted in St. Mary Parish of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Antoine was informed of the sex offender registration requirements by a deputy with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Compliance Division. Antoine failed to meet the registration requirements and warrants were obtained for his arrest. A correctional officer transported Antoine from the Jeanerette Police Department to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. No bail is set.

Jessica LaSalle , 25, 427 Highway 182 E. Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on May 31, 2016 at 3:45 pm on a civil warrant. A deputy located LaSalle at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant and transported her to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Anthony Wells , 63, 913 Antiago Alley, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 31, 2016 at 6:00 pm for maximum speed limit violation, driving under suspension, and resisting an officer. A deputy patrolling Garden City observed a vehicle traveling 70 miles per hour in a posted 45 mile per hour zone on Highway 182. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. The driver, identified as Wells, repeatedly gave the deputy false names during the traffic stop investigation. The deputy also found that Wells was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Wells was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was released on a summons to appear in court on August 29, 2016.

Cory Fernandez , 27, 1226 Delmar Avenue, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 1, 2016 at 12:52 am for domestic abuse battery. Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, deputies gathered evidence indicating that Fernandez pushed a female victim onto a piece of wooden furniture causing her to fall to the floor during an argument. Fernandez was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
