7 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report, which covers the last 24-hour reporting period. Deputies say they investigated 45 complaints.

Michael Phillips, 53, 4012 Chitimacha Trail Lot #1, Charenton, LA was arrested on June 28, 2016 at 10:19 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Deputies located Phillips at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the parish jail for booking. Phillips was later released after paying $2,100 purge amount on the $26,382.58 warrant.

Trumaine J. Derouen, 33, 1305 South Port Boulevard, New Iberia, LA was arrested on June 28, 2016 at 1:50 pm for the following offenses:
Failure to signal
No driver's license
No vehicle insurance
Switched license plate
A deputy patrolling Highway 182 in Baldwin observed a vehicle turn onto Orphan Home Road without properly signaling the maneuver. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Derouen. While speaking with the subject, the deputy learned that Derouen was driving without a license and with no insurance. The deputy also determined that the license plate displayed on the vehicle was not registered to the vehicle. Derouen was released on a summons to appear in court on September 15, 2016.

Randolph Joseph, 24, Franklin, LA was additionally charged with entering contraband into a penal institution on June 28, 2016 at 3:24 pm. Security staff at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office located a cell phone on Joseph's person during a search of a dorm. Joseph remains incarcerated.

Shundren Johnson, 20, 326 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 28, 2016 at 5:47 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. A deputy investigating a complaint at a residence in Patterson made contact with Johnson and located the active warrant for his arrest. Johnson was transported to the parish jail for booking. Johnson was released on a $750 bond.

Zadre Johnson, 23, 415 Martin Luther King Avenue, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 28, 2016 at 6:37 pm on a warrant for 2 counts second degree battery, simple battery, and disturbing the peace (fighting). A deputy investigating a complaint at a residence in Patterson made contact with Johnson and located the active warrant for his arrest. The warrant stems from an investigation into a fight that occurred on October 7, 2014 in the Bayou Vista area. The deputy found evidence that Johnson struck a male victim causing injuries to the victim's face that required medical treatment. Johnson was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $3,000.

Trent Duhon, 21, 324 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 28, 2016 at 10:51 pm on 2 Morgan City Police Department warrants for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, simple battery, criminal damage to property, and telephone harassment.

Christian Williams, 19, 308 Gum Point Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 28, 2016 at 11:48 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies patrolling the gum Point Lane area smelled the odor of burning marijuana coming from a residence. Deputies then observed a male subject exit a vehicle and run inside the residence. Deputies made contact with the subject, identified as Williams. Williams admitted to deputies that he was smoking marijuana. Deputies observed a bag of marijuana inside the vehicle Williams was in. During the course of the investigation, deputies also located burnt marijuana cigarettes and packs of cigars. Williams was released on a summons to appear in court on September 15, 2016.
