5 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report. Deputies say they investigated 39 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period.

Kayla Parfait, 31, 302 Sterling Drive, Houma, LA was arrested on June 30, 2016 at 12:20 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of resisting an officer, speeding, and no driver's license on person. A correctional officer transported Parfait from the Terrebonne Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $1,500.

Crystal L. Gaspard, 31, 4010 Melancon Road Lot #23, Broussard, LA was arrested on June 30, 2016 at 3:28 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt and careless operation of a vehicle. A correctional officer transported Gaspard from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $268.50.

Varice K. Richardson, 22, 161 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on June 30, 2016 at 4:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). A deputy investigating a complaint in Amelia came into contact with Richardson and located the active warrant for his arrest. Bail is set at $250.

Shane Parenteau, 27, Jena, LA was additionally charged with entering contraband into a penal institution on June 30, 2016 at 5:14 pm. During a search of the kitchen area at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located a phone charger and found evidence that the contraband belonged to inmate Parenteau. Parenteau remains incarcerated.

Sandra Rogers, 55, 201 Nicklaus Street Apt. #1, Berwick, LA was arrested on June 30, 2016 at 8:12 pm for improper lane usage, flight from an officer, and failure to signal a lane change. The K-9 Unit traveling on Highway 90 west in the Morgan City area observed a vehicle cross onto the shoulder of the roadway and initiated a traffic stop. The driver pulled to the side of the roadway and stopped. The deputy then observed the driver pull back onto the highway and drive away from the area. The deputy followed observing the driver commit additional traffic violations. The driver came to a stop in Berwick where the deputy spoke with her and identified her as Rogers. Following the traffic stop investigation, Rogers was transported to the parish jail for booking. Rogers was released on a $1,500 bond.
