9 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report, which covers the latest 24-hour reporting period. Deputies say they investigated 38 complaints.

Christopher C. Adams, 42, 2621 Sixth Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 1, 2016 at 11:40 am on a warrant for failure to appear for a drug court status conference and failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Adams turned himself in to a deputy at his residence. Bail is set at $100,000.

Hailey McDaniel, 17, 177 Katy Bridge Approach Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 1, 2016 at 1:41 pm for simple battery. A school resource officer was dispatched to a report of a fight at Centerville High School. During the course of the investigation, the SRO collected evidence that McDaniel struck a juvenile female subject during a fight between the two. McDaniel was transported to the parish jail for booking and later released on a $500 bond.

Brandon Davis, 38, 1201 Willow Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 1, 2016 at 2:02 pm on a City Court of Franklin warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving while intoxicated, driving under suspension, and criminal damage to property. A deputy located Davis at a residence on Easy Street in Franklin and transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Joseph Howard, Jr., 44, 1005 West Third Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 1, 2016 at 5:15 pm for simple battery. A deputy was dispatched to a complaint of a disturbance in progress on DeForest Brown Lane in Centerville. After arriving at the location, the deputy learned that one of the parties involved, identified as Howard, left the area. A short time later, another deputy located Howard on Third Street in Franklin. During the course of the investigation, the investigating deputy found evidence that Howard punched a male victim in the mouth during an argument between the two. Howard was transported to the parish jail for booking and later released on a $500 bond.

Moses Marks, Jr., 55, 217 Kemper Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 1, 2016 at 8:15 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and speeding. While booking Marks at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.

Kennedy Breaux, 50, 109 James Street, Siracusaville, LA was arrested on September 1, 2016 at 8:17 pm on a warrant for probation violation. While booking Breaux at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.

David Rattray, 55, 1098 Stephensville Road, Stephensville, LA was arrested on September 1, 2016 at 10:13 pm for careless operation of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. A deputy was dispatched to a report of a single vehicle crash on Highway 182 in Amelia and saw a vehicle in a ditch. The deputy made contact with the driver, Rattray, and observed that he was swaying from side to side and slurring his words as he spoke. The deputy also smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person. Rattray told the deputy that he missed a turn and drove into the ditch. Rattray was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Kadeem Johnson , 26, 248 Texas Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on September 1, 2016 at 5:18 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile
- Violation of CDS Law (drug free zone)

Natalie Legnon , 27, 248 Texas Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on September 1, 2016 at 5:18 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of CDS in the presence of a juvenile
- Violation of CDS law (drug free zone)
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section conducted a search warrant at Johnson and Legnon’s residence with the assistance of patrol deputies and officers of the Berwick Police Department. Several small children at the residence were released to a family member prior to the investigation. During the course of the search, detectives located marijuana and items of drug related paraphernalia. The residence is located directly across from Berwick Elementary School. Johnson and Legnon were both transported to St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.
