12 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office arrest report. Deputies say they investigated 32 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period.

Delvin Darby, 23, Franklin, LA was additionally charged with aggravated battery on September 7, 2016 at 10:36 am. A correctional officer at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center observed inmate Darby strike another inmate. During the subsequent investigation, the jail security team found that Darby used a mop handle to strike the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital, treated, and released to the custody of jail personnel. Darby remains incarcerated.

Therold James, 32, Bayou Vista, LA was additionally charged with criminal damage to property on September 7, 2016 at 2:25 pm. A correctional officer at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center observed inmate James cause damage to the ceiling of a jail cell. James remains incarcerated.

Crystal M. Comeaux, 37, 601 Bayard Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on September 7, 2016 at 3:42 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension, expired license plate, and no insurance. A correctional officer transported Comeaux from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

Cory Pierce, 29, 133 Shady Grove Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 7, 2016 at 3:52 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I drugs. Pierce turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. A deputy transported him to the parish jail for booking. Pierce was released on a $750 bond.

Luis E. Corrales, 32, 112 Hotard Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 7, 2016 at 2:12 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery. A deputy obtained the warrant following an investigation into a report of domestic violence received on August 13, 2016. The deputy found evidence that Corrales grabbed a female victim’s wrist and scratched her chest and neck during a confrontation at a residence in Bayou Vista. Corrales came to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City to speak with a deputy. The deputy located the active warrant for his arrest, took him into custody, and transported Corrales to the parish jail. No bail is set.

Eulalia McCoy, 21, 5206 Norris Road Lot #23, New Iberia, LA was arrested on September 7, 2016 at 6:45 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension. While booking McCoy at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrant for her arrest. No bail is set.

Emery J. Lassere, 53, 13042 North Peach Street, Vacherie, LA was arrested on September 7, 2016 at 7:02 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of Klonopin and disturbing the peace. A correctional officer transported Lassere from the Lafourche Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

Samantha Ledom, 24, 408 Darlene Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 7, 2016 at 8:06 pm for the following offenses:

  • Headlights required
  • No driver’s license
  • No proof of registration
  • No proof of insurance
  • Switched license plate
  • Warrant for failure to appear for a violation notice for animals at large

A deputy observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 90 without headlights and conducted a traffic stop in Patterson. The deputy made contact with the driver, Ledom, and learned that she was operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license and that she had an active warrant for her arrest. Also during the traffic stop, the deputy found that the license plate displayed on the van Ledom was driving was not registered to the vehicle. Ledom was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Tonetta Vining, 50, 2019 River Road, Berwick, LA was arrested on September 7, 2016 at 11:27 pm for possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles.

Floyd Vining, 54, 2019 River Road, Berwick, LA was arrested on September 7, 2016 at 11:27 pm for possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles.

A deputy patrolling the Berwick Boat Landing on River Road observed a parked pick-up truck with a man standing nearby and a woman sitting inside the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the 2 subjects identified as T. Vining and F. Vining. The deputy observed several open bottles of beer inside the vehicle and an open bottle of schnapps in T. Vining’s lap. While speaking with the subjects, the deputy learned that the beer belonged to F. Vining. Both were released on summonses to appear in court on December 14, 2016 and were transported from the area by a licensed driver who had not been drinking.

Gregory L. Clavelle, Jr., 29, 425 Ninth Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 8, 2016 at 1:34 am for the following offenses:

  • Speeding
  • No insurance
  • Driving with a suspended license
  • Warrant from Iberia Parish for failure to appear on the charge of failure to return a leased moveable

A deputy patrolling St. Joseph observed a vehicle traveling at 37 miles per hour in a posted 25 miles per hour zone on Irish Bend Road. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Clavelle. While speaking with Clavelle, the deputy learned that he was operating the vehicle without insurance and with a suspended driver’s license. The deputy also located an active warrant for Clavelle from Iberia Parish. Clavelle was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Tori L. Davis, 32, 226 Mitchell Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 8, 2016 at 5:07 am on a warrant for theft. A deputy patrolling St. Joseph observed a vehicle without a license plate light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Davis. While speaking with Davis, the deputy located an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant was issued following an investigation into a reported theft that occurred at a business in Amelia in May of 2015. The deputy collected evidence that Davis stole cash from a tip jar. Davis was transported to the parish jail on the warrant and later released on a $1,000 bond.
