St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Arrest Report

The following is a list of the people who were booked into the St. Mary Parish Jail for Tuesday, September 20, 2016:

Lance Terry, 32, 1538 Fairview Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 19, 2016 at 9:10 am for disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a business on Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista. The deputy collected statements from witnesses that Terry began yelling and cursing at others inside the location. Terry was released on a summons to appear in court on December 14, 2016.

Jacob Thompson, 20, 304 South Central Road, Delcambre, LA was arrested on September 19, 2016 at 2:50 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of unlawful use of an ID to gain access to a gaming establishment and unlawful purchase and/or possession of alcoholic beverages. A correctional officer transported Thompson from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

Steven Morris, 22, 3 Claude Fillingance Road, Richton, MS was arrested on September 19, 2016 at 4:52 pm for false personation of a peace officer. A deputy observed a male subject at Walmart on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista who was begging for money. The deputy also observed that the subject had a badge and handcuffs on his hip. The deputy made contact with the subject and identified him as Morris. Morris initially claimed to be with the “fugitive task force”. The deputy pointed out that the badge belonged to the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office in Mississippi. Morris then admitted that he was not a law enforcement officer. Continuing the investigation, the deputy contacted the FCSO and learned that the badge matched the description of one that went missing years ago. The deputy transported Morris to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

James Murray, 28, 313 Arkansas Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 19, 2016 at 2:55 pm on a warrant for probation violation. While booking Murray at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.
