Chad Wiggins , 23, 115 Moffet Court, Bayou L’Ourse, LA was arrested on October 31, 2016 at 2:01 pm for stop sign violation, possession of Schedule I (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and conducted a traffic stop on Fairmont Road. While speaking with the driver, who was identified as Wiggins, detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located loose marijuana, marijuana cigars, and cigar wraps. Wiggins was released on a summons to appear in court on January 4, 2017.

Davis W. Davis , 55, 3640 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on October 31, 2016 at 3:25 pm for possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine) and violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone). Narcotics detectives patrolling Amelia stopped to speak with a subject who was riding a bicycle in the area. The subject was identified as Davis. While speaking with him, a detective received consent to search his person and located a rock of crack cocaine. The illegal drug was found on Davis near a church. Davis was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Brian J. Delaune, Jr. , 31, 523 Joey Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 31, 2016 at 5:04 pm for the following offenses:
- Stop sign violation
- General speed law
- Failure to signal 100 feet prior to turning
- Possession of Legend Drug (buspirone hydrochloride) without a prescription
- Possession of Schedule II (Adderall)
Narcotics detectives patrolling Patterson observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at Henry and Louisa Streets. Detectives also observed the driver speeding on Highway 90. A traffic stop was conducted and detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Delaune. While speaking with Delaune, detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a pill bottle containing Adderall and buspirone hydrochloride pills. Delaune was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Christopher Pollard, 31, 157 Mars Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on October 30, 2016 at 9:59 pm for resisting an officer (giving false information) and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy stopped a male subject riding a bicycle in Bayou Vista who had an active warrant for his arrest. The subject, who was later positively identified as Pollard, initially gave the deputy a false name. Pollard was transported to the parish jail for booking on the active warrants for his arrest. Bail is set at $1,912.

Chad Breaux, 35, 610 Levert Street, Gueydan, LA was arrested on October 31, 2016 at 8:47 pm for driving under suspension and possession of Legend Drug (Zoloft) without a prescription. A deputy located a vehicle suspected of driving recklessly on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista and made contact with the driver, identified as Breaux. While speaking with Breaux, the deputy found that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located a Zoloft pill inside. Breaux stated to the deputy that he did not have a prescription for the drug. Breaux was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $3,000.

Tyler Brewer, 24, 400 Louisa Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 31, 2016 at 11:45 pm on 4 warrants for failure to appear for a drug court status conference and failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. While patrolling Crescent Acres in Patterson, a deputy observed a subject leaning into a vehicle with a flashlight. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified him as Brewer, and located the active warrants for his arrest. Brewer was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $400,000.

Juvenile male, 13, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 1, 2016 at 4:32 am for theft of goods and violation of the parish curfew ordinance. A deputy responded to a report of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy met with store security personnel and a juvenile male. The deputy collected evidence that the juvenile placed several items into a backpack and then attempted to leave the store without paying for the goods. Following the investigation, the juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Jervis Baxile, 36, 1411 Delpapa Lane, Houston, TX was arrested on November 1, 2016 at 7:49 pm for no head lights and driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling Baldwin observed a vehicle with a non-functioning headlight and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy spoke with the driver, identified as Baxile, and found that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license. Baxile was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017.

Christopher Gugliotta, 19, 106 Missy Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 1, 2016 at 9:09 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana).

Jessie Sanders, 20, 106 Missy Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 1, 2016 at 9:09 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana).

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle parked at Two Sisters Boat Landing with 2 subjects inside. The deputy made contact with them and identified them as Gugliotta and Sanders. While speaking with them, the deputy smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and received consent to search. The deputy located 3 partially burned marijuana cigarettes in the vehicle. Both Gugliotta and Sanders were released on summonses to appear in court on February 3, 2017.

Damon Allen, 46, 1516 Cross Road #2, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 1, 2016 at 11:59 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A deputy responding to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Bayou Vista made contact with Allen and located the active warrant for his arrest. Allen was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,500.

Lyndell Brooks, 50, 3718 Gamlin Bend, Houston, TX was arrested on November 2, 2016 at 12:56 am for the following offenses:
Operating a vehicle while intoxicated
Possession of (open) alcoholic vehicles in motor vehicles
Improper lane usage
Flight from an officer
Littering
Warrant from Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office for probation violation
A deputy was dispatched to Highway 90 in Patterson to a complaint of a reckless driver. The deputy located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver failed to pull over. While following the driver, the deputy observed the vehicle swerving back and forth across both eastbound lanes of 90 and onto the shoulder of the roadway. The deputy also observed the driver flick a cigarette out of the driver's side window or the vehicle. The driver stopped in the parking lot of a business in Bayou Vista. The deputy detained the driver, identified as Brooks, pending an investigation. While speaking with Brooks, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person. The deputy also observed that Brooks was swaying back and forth and repeatedly leaned against the vehicle to keep his balance. The deputy conducted a field sobriety test. Brooks performed the test poorly. Also during the investigation, the deputy located an open bottle of beer inside the vehicle. Brooks was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
