2 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report. Deputies say they investigated 44 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period.

Rebecca Causer, 44, 602 Roberts Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on November 2, 2016 at 5:49 pm for driving under suspension and improper lane usage. A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin observed a vehicle cross the centerline of LA Highway 3211 into the oncoming lane of travel. The vehicle then swerved back across the centerline and onto the shoulder of the roadway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Causer. While speaking with her, the deputy found that she was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Causer was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017.

Gerald Wiese, Jr., 40, 1983 River Road, Lot #13, Berwick, LA was arrested on November 2, 2016 at 6:24 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of Schedule II (oxycodone)
  • Possession of Schedule II (Adderall)
  • Possession of Schedule IV (clonazepam)
  • Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section executed a search warrant at 1983 River Road. Berwick and Morgan City Police Departments assisted. Detectives located marijuana, marijuana cigars, glass pipes, digital scales, oxycodone pills, Adderall pills, and clonazepam pills. Two juveniles were at the residence at the time of the investigation. Wiese was transported to the parish jail for booking. Wiese was released on a $6,000 bond.
