4 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report. Deputies say they investigated 31 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period.

Herbert Newton, 92, 304 Main Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on November 21, 2016 at 10:34 am on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. Newton turned himself in to the Warrants Section at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin. He was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017.

Josh Morvant, 32, 1624 Gentilly Drive, Shreveport, LA was arrested on November 21, 2016 at 5:17 pm for speeding (in a construction zone) and driving with a suspended license. A deputy monitoring traffic on US Highway 90 at LA 318 observed a vehicle traveling 74 miles per hour in a posted 55 miles per hour construction zone. The deputy stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver who was identified as Morvant. The deputy found that Morvant was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license. Morvant was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017.

Kayla Davis, 27, 111 Moon Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 21, 2016 at 6:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy responding to a report of a disturbance at a business off US Highway 90 in Bayou Vista made contact with Davis and located the active warrant for her arrest. The deputy transported Davis to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,969.78.

Abdul Mahammad, 22, 616 Cypremort Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on November 21, 2016 at 9:23 pm for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver's license. A deputy patrolling Sorrel observed a vehicle with only one working headlight and conducted a traffic stop on Highway 182. The deputy spoke with the driver, identified as Mahammad, and found that he was driving the vehicle with a suspended license. Mahammad was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017.
