2 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report. Deputies say they investigated 31 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period.

Joshua S. Miller, 20, 708 Boudreaux Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on November 28, 2016 at 4:03 pm for possession of Schedule I (LSD) with intent to distribute and criminal conspiracy to possess marijuana with intent to distribute. Continuing the investigation into a traffic stop made in Berwick on November 18, 2016, a narcotics detective found evidence that Miller sold LSD and that he conspired to possess marijuana with the intent of selling the illegal substance. The detective obtained a warrant for Miller’s arrest. Miller turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. He was transported to the parish jail. No bail is set. The case remains under investigation.

Eric J. Mouton, 46, 300 Bourque Street, Kaplan, LA was arrested on November 29, 2016 at 1:14 am for no insurance and expired driver’s license. A deputy stopped to assist a stranded motorist on US Highway 90 near LA Highway 318. The motorist was identified as Mouton. While assisting him with changing a tire and starting his truck, the deputy found that Mouton was driving the vehicle without insurance and with an expired license. Mouton was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017. The vehicle was towed.
