The following is a list of the people who were booked into the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office for Monday, December 5, 2016:

Jonathan Harris, 17, 158 Eves Street, Sorrel, LA was arrested on December 2, 2016 at 9:32 pm for disturbing the peace and aggravated assault. A deputy responded to a report of a theft of food from a restaurant on Highway 90 in Jeanerette. The deputy spoke with several patrons and employees and learned that Harris was causing a disturbance at the business. The deputy also collected evidence that Harris threatened to cut a male victim with a butter knife. Harris was transported to the parish jail for booking. Harris was later released on a $1,750 recognizance bond.

Katelyn N. Charles, 18, 610 Pellerin Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on December 3, 2016 at 4:00 pm for aggravated assault. A deputy responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in Four Corners. During the investigation, the deputy found evidence that Charles threatened a male victim with a knife during an argument between the two. Charles was transported to the parish jail for booking. She was released on a $1,500 bond.

Juvenile male, 14, Franklin, LA was arrested on 7:12 pm on December 3, 2016 for aggravated battery. A deputy responded to a report of an aggravated battery that occurred on Easy Street in Franklin involving juveniles. The deputy found evidence that a juvenile male shot a juvenile male victim in the hand with a pellet rifle. Following his arrest, the 14-year-old juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Crystal Hartman, 34, 603 Taft Street, #11, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 3, 2016 at 3:06 am for the following offenses:

-     Operating a vehicle while intoxicated

-     Improper lane usage

-     No driver’s license on person

-     Possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles

Deputies traveling on Highway 90 in the Patterson area observed a vehicle cross the centerline and swerve onto the shoulder of the roadway. Deputies conducted a traffic stop, made contact with the driver, and smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. The driver was identified as Hartman. Hartman was unable to provide her driver’s license or proof of insurance. A deputy also observed an open alcoholic beverage container inside the vehicle. The deputy conducted a field sobriety test. Hartman exhibited signs of intoxication and later registered a 0.175g% blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. The deputy transported Hartman to the parish jail for booking. Hartman was released on a $3,750 bond.

Curtis Richard, 39, 210 Glenwood Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 4, 2016 at 8:18 pm on the following charges:

-     Theft of goods

-     Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of identity theft and unlawful manufacturing, production, or distribution of fraudulent documents

-     Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of destroying legal crab traps or removing contents

-     Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle with an unlit license plate

A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista and located a suspect identified as Richard. The deputy found evidence that Richard stole several phone chargers from the store and that Richard was wanted on warrants. The deputy recovered the stolen goods and transported Richard to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Jaclyn G. Rodriguez, 27, 1338 Highway 83, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 4, 2016 at 10:55 am for careless operation of a vehicle. A deputy was dispatched to a report of a single vehicle crash on Highway 83 near Ashton. The deputy located the vehicle in a ditch. During the investigation, the deputy made contact with the driver, Rodriguez, and found evidence that she was looking at her phone when she ran off the roadway. 2 juveniles were riding in the vehicle at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported. Rodriguez was released on summons to appear in court on March 8, 2017.

Dea’zhone Baker, 22, 500 H. Ninth Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 4, 2016 at 5:18 pm for possession of marijuana. A deputy assisting Franklin Police made contact with Baker who was exiting a vehicle on Ninth Street and smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from him and the vehicle. The deputy located a bag of marijuana in Baker’s pocket. Baker was released on a summons to appear on court on March 8, 2017.

Christine Sharp, 47, 2109 Hebert Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 4, 2016 at 7:57 pm for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, careless operation, and failure to change address on driver’s license. A deputy was dispatched to a report of a reckless driver on Highway 90 in Centerville. A deputy located the suspect vehicle and observed the driver traveling on the shoulder of the roadway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, who was identified as Sharp. The deputy smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and conducted a field sobriety test. Sharp performed poorly. The deputy also learned that Sharp has resided at her current residence for approximately 2 years and failed to change the address on her driver’s license. Following the investigation, Sharp was transported to the parish jail for booking. Sharp was released after posting a $5,750 bond.

Trevor Alfano, 18, 1700 Walnut Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 6, 2016 at 8:33 pm for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, careless operation, and resisting an officer. A deputy was dispatched to a report of a vehicle crash on LA Highway 182 near Irish Bend Road in Franklin. The deputy located the damaged, unoccupied car and began searching the area for the driver. The deputy then observed a male subject running through a yard towards a wooded area. The deputy pursued the subject on foot and ordered him multiple times to stop. The subject failed to comply. The deputy continued the pursuit, gained ground, and again ordered the subject to stop. The subject then complied. The deputy detained him, identified him as Alfano, and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. During the investigation, the deputy collected evidence that Alfano was operating the vehicle at the time of the crash. The deputy conducted a field sobriety test. Alfano performed the test poorly and later registered a 0.09g% blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. Alfano was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was released after posting a $5,500 bond.

Kenadie Bourque, 20, 907 Duke Street, Apt. 3, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 2, 2016 at 4:07 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana), possession of Schedule IV (clonazepam), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dylan Ives, 21, 907 Duke Street, Apt. 3, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 2, 2016 at 4:07 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A detective of the Narcotics Section, assisting Morgan City Police with a search warrant on Duke Street, located evidence of illegal drug activity taking place at neighboring residence. Detectives made contact with residents Bourque and Ives, and received consent to search the property. Detectives located clonazepam pills, marijuana, a pipe and a water pipe used to smoke marijuana. Bourque and Ives were transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
