4 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest reports. Deputies say they investigated 47 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period

Brett J. Gaspard, 26, 283 Eves Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 10, 2017 at 11:23 pm for careless operation of a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy was dispatched to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Highway 318 in Jeanerette. The deputy located the car, looked inside, and found that it was unoccupied. The deputy did locate a makeshift pipe that had been used to smoke marijuana on the driver's seat. The deputy identified Gaspard as the driver of the vehicle and made contact with him at his residence. During the investigation, the deputy found evidence that Gaspard lost control of the vehicle and drove into the ditch. The deputy also collected evidence that the pipe belonged to Gaspard. Gaspard was released on a summons to appear in court on April 5, 2017.

Teddy Boudoin, Jr., 42, 13247 Palm Street, Vacherie, LA was arrested on January 10, 2017 at 1:47 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Boudoin turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin. A deputy transported him to the parish jail for booking. Bail on the charge is set at $17,603.72

Dorian Kennedy, 36, 1412 James Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 10, 2017 at 4:24 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery by strangulation and simple assault. The warrant was obtained by a deputy investigating a report of domestic abuse. The deputy found evidence that Kennedy grabbed a female victim's neck with both hands. Kennedy then threw the victim to the ground. The victim sustained swelling on her neck. The deputy also collected evidence that Kennedy verbally threatened the victim with physical harm. Deputies and members of the Special Response Team went to Kennedy's residence to effect the arrest warrant. Kennedy was not located at the residence and was found to be actively evading law enforcement. Investigators with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office provided information on Kennedy's whereabouts to the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit. Kennedy was located and apprehended in Baton Rouge on January 9, 2017. A correctional officer transported Kennedy from the East Baton Rouge detention center to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

Isiah K. Ryan, 28, 514 Maple Street, Sulphur, LA was arrested on January 10, 2017 at 5:45 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. A correctional officer transported Ryan from the Calcasieu Parish detention center to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $2,000.
