5 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report, which covers the 48-hour Mardi Gras holiday reporting period. Deputies say they investigated 73 complaints.

Shawn Verdin, 40, 528 C Back Project Road, Schriever, LA was arrested on February 27, 2017 at 12:47 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). A correctional officer transported Verdin from the Terrebonne Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Verdin was released on a $500 bond.

Bobby Davis, 35, 102 Lacobie Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on February 27, 2017 at 2:28 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. A correctional officer transported Davis from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Davis was released on a $500 bond.

Taylor Uriegas, 20, 902 East Fourth Street, Kaplan, LA was arrested on February 27, 2017 at 2:29 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of failure to stop at a stop sign, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A correctional officer transported Uriegas from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Uriegas was released on a $335 bond.

Matthew Strubb, 19, 1803 Canal Drive, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 28, 2017 at 7:17 am for theft of goods. A deputy investigating a February 25, 2017 complaint of shoplifting from a store in Bayou Vista identified Strubb as a suspect who exited the store without paying for an item. Following the investigation, Strubb was released on a summons to appear in court on May 10, 2017.

Joshalyn Charles, 20, 121 Barone Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on February 26, 2017 at 9:49 am on a Franklin City Court warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and driver must be licensed. Charles came to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to visit an inmate. While at the facility, a correctional officer located the warrant for her arrest. Charles was transported to the Franklin Police Department jail for housing.
