7 arrests were made over the last 72 hours by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office as deputies responded to 99 complaints.

Hodges Matthews , 36, 105 Texas Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on October 9, 2015 at 8:59 am on a warrant for domestic abuse battery. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Amelia. The deputy learned that Matthews struck a female victim in the head during an argument. Matthews turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin and was transported to the parish jail for booking. Matthews was released after posting $2,500 bond.

Jamie Charles , 31, 128 Sorrell Lane #3, Sorrell, LA was arrested on October 9, 2015 at 10:08 am on an October 5, 2015 warrant from the Chitimacha Tribal Police Department for failure to notify law enforcement of a change of address as a sex offender and unlawful use of social networking as a sex offender. Charles turned himself in at the ST. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin and was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Jasmine J. Washington , 31, 307 Barrow Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on October 9, 2015 at 11:39 am on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. Washington turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. She was released on a summons to appear in court on January 13, 2015.

Nakeisa Walker , 36, 142 Polaris Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on October 9, 2015 at 7:50 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy discovered that Walker took items from the store, placed them in her purse, and left the business without paying for the goods. The deputy located Walker at her residence and recovered the stolen items. Walker was released on a summons to appear on court on January 13, 2015.

Dawn Goleman Lancon , 32, 106 Mill Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 9, 2015 at 8:12 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxicated), possession of Legend Drug (naproxen sodium) without a prescription, and possession of Legend Drug (Celebrex) without a prescription. A deputy responded to a complaint of a female subject stumbling in the roadway on Highway 182 in the Patterson area. The deputy located the female staggering on the side of the road and made contact with her. She identified herself as Dawn Goleman to the deputy. While speaking with her, the deputy learned that she had been drinking an alcoholic beverage. The deputy received consent to search her purse and located several prescription pills for which she did not have a prescription. The deputy transported her to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Kilna Marshall , 41, 6358 Highway 182, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 10, 2015 at 1:24 pm for aggravated battery. A deputy responded to a report of a cutting that occurred at residence in the Franklin area. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Marshall cut a male victim on the arm with a pair of scissors during an argument. The victim refused medical treatment. Marshall was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Brandon Cormier , 33, 1514 North Green Street, Basile, LA was arrested on October 11, 2015 at 10:18 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. Cormier was brought to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a bondsman. No bail is set.
