Two people were arrested over the last 24 hours by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office - one on drug charges; the other on driving violation charges.

Misty Lafleur, 34, 3510 Second Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on October 12, 2015 at 10:17 am on a Lafayette Parish warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy located Lafleur at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin and transported her to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Crystal Williams, 32, 1601 Elm Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 12, 2015 at 10:35 pm for no tail lights, no drivers license on person, and no motor vehicle insurance. A deputy patrolling St. Joseph observed a vehicle travelling on Irish Bend Road without operational tail lights and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Williams, and learned that she was driving without her license and did not have insurance on the vehicle. The deputy released Williams on a summons to appear in court on January 13, 2016.
