Eight arrests have been made by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office over the last 48 hours. At least 74 complaints were responded to by deputies:

Dwayne J. Provost, 32, 625 Hebert Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on November 10, 2015 at 7:00 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy transported Provost from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

Ebony P. Francois, 33, 709 Park Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 10, 2015 at 7:10 pm on a warrant for probation violation. A deputy responding to a report of a crash in the parking lot of a business on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista made contact with Francois and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. Francois was released on a $5,000 bond.

Tyrone Weber, 31, 115 Kerry Lane, Charenton, LA was arrested on November 10, 2015 at 8:14 pm for the following offenses:
- Simple battery
- Simple assault
- Resisting an officer
- Disturbing the peace
- Criminal damage to property
- Possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of marijuana
A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance on Kerry Lane in Charenton. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Weber was walking around in the area and making threats towards a female victim. When the deputy attempted to make contact with Weber, he shouted an expletive at the deputy and then ran behind a nearby residence. While being detained, Weber began to forcefully pull away from the deputy. Weber also spit on the deputy and the female victim. After Weber was placed in a police unit, he continued to make verbal threats towards the victim and kicked the window of the vehicle in an attempt to break it. During the course of the investigation, the deputy found two small bags. One contained rocks of crack cocaine and the other contained marijuana. The deputy also found that the residence had been damaged. Weber was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Devin Metrejean, 22, 516 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 11, 2015 at 6:37 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, operating a vehicle without a driver's license, driving on the right side of the road, switched license plate, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy responded to a complaint of a possible trespasser at a residence in Centerville. The deputy made contact with Metrejean and located the active warrant for his arrest. Metrejean was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was released after paying a $380 fine.

Below are arrests made the Narcotics Division of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office:

Brian Henderson, 32, 736 Utah St. Berwick, LA was arrested on November 9, 2015 at 7:02 pm on warrants for violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone), possession of Schedule II (cocaine) with intent to distribute (over 28 grams), resisting an officer, and obstruction of justice. Narcotics detectives, who knew Henderson was wanted on the warrant, observed him leaving the parking lot of a business off of Hwy 182 in Morgan City. Detectives notified a patrol deputy who stopped the vehicle Henderson was in and made contact with him. Henderson was then transported to the parish jail for booking. The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division assisted in apprehending Henderson. The warrant for his arrest was obtained after detectives observed Henderson dropping several bags of cocaine on the ground while fleeing from them on Friendship Alley in Amelia.

Darrell Orgeron, 45, 3278 Second Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on November 10, 2015 at 4:57 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle run the stop sign at the intersection of Southeast Boulevard and Middle Road. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Orgeron. While speaking with the Orgeron, detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a glass pipe used by Orgeron to smoke methamphetamine. Following the investigation, Orgeron was released on a summons to appear in court on February 11, 2016.

Wilson Bailey, 36, 511 Belanger Street Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 10, 2015 at 6:04 pm for possession of marijuana. Narcotics detectives observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn off of Clothilde Street in Morgan City and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Bailey. While speaking with Bailey, detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a small bag of marijuana. Bailey was released on a summons to appear in court on February 11, 2016.

Irvin Celestine, Jr., 33, 121B Eleventh Street Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 10, 2015 at 7:50 pm for the following violations:
- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
- Possession of cocaine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)
- Transactions involving drug proceeds
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at 121B Eleventh Street in Morgan City, LA, the residence of Celestine. While searching the location, detectives located several bags of marijuana, a bag of cocaine, digital scales, $676.00 in cash (US currency), plastic baggies, and a handgun. Detectives ran Celestine's criminal history and found that he is a convicted felon. Also, Celestine's residence is within two thousand feet of a church. Celestine was transported to the parish jail for booking.
