Two arrests were made over the last 24 hours by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded to 36 complaints.

Juvenile male, 16, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 12, 2015 at 4:33 pm for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. A deputy investigating a complaint of a possible residential burglary discovered that the juvenile entered an inhabited residence on Mercury Road in Bayou Vista without the owner's permission. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Desmond D. Francis, 27, 10723 Highway 182, Franklin, LA was arrested on November 12, 2015 at 10:40 pm for illegal possession of stolen things and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of reckless operation of a vehicle. In the process of purchasing a motorcycle from an online listing, a male subject learned that the bike had been reported as stolen. The subject notified the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. During the course of the investigation, a deputy discovered that Francis was selling the motorbike. The deputy made contact with Francis and while speaking with him, discovered that Francis knew that the motorcycle was stolen. The deputy also located an active warrant for his arrest. Francis was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was released after posting a $3,000 bond.
