Four people have been arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office over the last 24 hours. Deputies responded to 47 complaints.

Terry J. Jackson, 17, 2436 Highway 318 Jeanerette, LA was arrested on November 19, 2015 at 11:48 am on a warrant for sexual battery and misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile. On October 8, 2015, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of possible carnal knowledge of a juvenile involving a 14 year old female. Through the course of the investigation, a forensic interview was conducted at Hearts of Hope Children’s Advocacy Center. The detective assigned to the case learned that Jackson and the 14 year old female juvenile engaged in sexual activity at a residence in Sorrel. A deputy made contact with Jackson at a location on Highway 182 in Baldwin on the warrant. Jackson was booked into the parish jail. He was later released on a $10,000 personal surety bond.

 

Ricky A. Dupre, 36, 710 6th Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 19, 2015 at 11:09 pm for theft. A deputy was dispatched to a complaint at the Amelia Belle Casino on Lake Palourde Road in reference to a report of a theft. The deputy learned from witnesses and video surveillance footage that Dupre stole $20 from a tip jar at a concession stand. While speaking with the deputy, Dupre admitted to taking the money and then putting it into a gambling machine. Casino personnel banned Dupre from the location. The deputy released Dupre on a summons to appear in court on February 11, 2016.

 

Kegan Clements, 25, 311 Grey Eagle Road #1, Charenton, LA was arrested on November 20, 2015 at 2:04 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a location on Chitimacha Trail in Charenton in reference to a report of domestic abuse. During the course of the investigation, the deputy collected evidence that Clements punched a female victim in the face during an argument.  The deputy located Clements in his vehicle at the end of Grey Eagle Road. Following the investigation, Clements was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Cody Paul, 28, 133 Day Lane, Charenton, LA was arrested on November 20, 2015 at 1:20 am on a Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Deputies dispatched to a complaint of a disturbance on Day Lane made contact with Paul and located the active warrant for his arrest. Paul was transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.
