Six people have been arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office over the last 24-hour reporting period. Deputies responded to 41 complaints.

Michael Shawn Meyer, 23, 403 Cypress St, Franklin LA, was arrested on December 2, 2015 at 8:58am on a warrant for failing to appear to court on the charge of simple burglary. A deputy assigned to the warrants division located Meyer at his residence and arrested him. Meyer was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $100,000.

Kelvin Loyd, 54, 406 Murphy St, Colfax LA, was arrested on December 2, 2015 at 4:40pm on a warrant for simple battery. Loyd was transported from Chitimacha Police Department to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. The warrant stems from an investigation concerning a disturbance on August 5, 2012 in the Baldwin area. Investigators learned that Loyd struck a female in the face. Loyd was released on a $500 bond.

Misty Moore, 31, 142 Genevieve St, Franklin LA, was arrested on December 2, 2015 at 5:15pm on a warrant for cyberstalking. A deputy patrolling the Franklin area located Moore at her residence, arrested her, and transported her to the parish jail for booking. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted on November 28, 2015. Investigators learned that Moore sent threatening messages via a social media application to a female victim. Moore was released on a $2,500 bond.

Caffery Williams, 50, 407 Garber St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on December 2, 2015 at 9:03pm for a warrant for failing to appear to court on the charge of driving under suspension and improper lane usage. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed the driver of a vehicle commit several traffic infractions. The traffic stop was conducted on Highway 182. The deputy made contact with the driver, Williams, and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Williams was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Willie Vallet Jr , 48, 170 Verdun Lane, Franklin LA, was arrested on December 2, 2015 at 10:04pm for the following warrants:

-Warrant for failing to appear to court on the charge of criminal neglect of family
-Warrant for failing to appear to court on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia
-Warrant for failing to appear to court on charges of aggravated flight from an officer where human life is endangered, reckless operation of a vehicle and operating a vehicle without a license

Deputies patrolling the Franklin area located Vallet at a local business and learned of his warrants. Vallet was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Corey Leblanc, 34, 133 Lagonda Lane, Bayou Vista LA, was arrested on December 3, 2015 at 4:39am on charges of criminal trespass, simple criminal damage to property, and disturbing the peace by intoxication. A deputy assigned to patrol the Bayou Vista area responded to a call of a trespasser in the vicinity of Landry Lane. The trespasser was identified as Leblanc. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Leblanc showed signs of intoxication, attempted to gain entry into a home and broke a Christmas ornament in the process. Leblanc was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,000.
