3 people have been arrested over the last 24-hour reporting period by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded to 36 complaints.

Nicholas Grimmett, 34, Lake End Park, Lot #7, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 8, 2015 at 2:14 pm for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a call from Teche Regional Medical Center regarding a report of a possible incident of domestic abuse. The deputy collected statements indicating that Grimmett struck a female victim in the head at a residence in Bayou Vista. With the assistance of Morgan City Police, Grimmett was located at a residence on Aucoin Street. Following the investigation, Grimmett was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Troy A. Washington, 48, 207 Bud Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 8, 2015 at 9:23 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of cocaine. A deputy located Washington at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Jacob Picard, 26, 85 Choctaw Street, Charenton, LA was arrested on December 9, 2015 at 12:11 am for driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling the Jeanerette area observed a vehicle making an illegal turn onto US Highway 90 and conducted a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Picard, the deputy learned that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. The deputy released Picard on a summons to appear in court on March 7, 2015.
