The following is a list of the people arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in the last 24 hours:

Shalacey Williams, 30, 415 Adams Street, Apt. #3, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 5, 2015 at 10:52 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of contraband in a penal institution. A deputy located an active warrant for Williams who was at the parish jail to visit an inmate. The court subsequently ordered the warrant recalled and charges dismissed. Williams was released.

Valerie Landreneau, 45, 1507 Barrow Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on August 5, 2015 at 11:46 am for theft. A deputy conducted an investigation into a complaint of a stolen cell phone from a bar located on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. The deputy positively identified Landreneau as the subject who took the victim’s phone. Landreneau was located at her residence and transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Leisha Mcgraw, 35, 1026 Red Cypress Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 5, 2015 at 8:50 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of theft and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Mcgraw turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.

Trevor Kober, 24, 1507 Federal Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 6, 2015 at 12:43 am for the following offenses:

-     Simple battery

-     Simple criminal damage to property

-     Theft

-     Possession of open alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles

-     Interfering with driver or vehicle control

-     Criminal trespass

A deputy responded to a report of a battery on Highway 182 in the Patterson area near Zenor Road. The deputy made contact with a female victim and located Kober hiding in the bushes nearby. Kober was detained. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Kober was riding as a passenger in a vehicle driven by a female subject when the two began arguing. Kober then pushed on the brake forcing the driver to bring the vehicle to a stop. As the argument progressed, Kober struck the female victim in the face damaging her eye glasses. He then exited the vehicle taking several items that belonged to the victim and fled. While speaking with Kober, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath and person. The deputy also observed that Kober’s speech was slurred. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy located an open container of alcohol belonging to Kober. A deputy transported Kober to the parish jail. Bail is set at $4,000.
